【今夜のもう一品 - seasonal fresh onion 】

展示期間中は、スーパーに満足な買い出しは行けず・・・。
少ない食材で、夕食は何にしようと思っていたら、願いが叶った！夕方 ”新たまねぎ♡”を頂きました♪ 焼玉ねぎwith ﾌﾞﾙｰﾁｰｽﾞ・ﾊﾆｰ＆新たまドレッシング。新鮮だから甘くておいしい。
今日も頂きもので生きています（笑）。

ありがとうございます。

明日は何を念じよう・・。

I got seasonal fresh onions from my friend, so I could add 2 more dishes for our dinner tonight. Fresh onions are so soft, sweet, and enjoyable, either baked or fresh.

Baked onions:
Bake the onions with blue cheese, garlic, olive oil, and thyme leaves in an oven. Sprinkle a little bit of honey before you serve.

Fresh seasonal onion dressing：
Mix with freshly grated seasonal onions, mustard, vinegar, salt, black pepper, and soy sauce.　Tooo tasty!

 

Benjamin made a jack-o-lantern and I baked pumpkin pie!!

 カボチャを見つけ、旦那さまが作り始めた”ジャック・オ・ランタン”
子供の頃に義父に教わってよく作ったそうで、毎度本人はこれを作るとなぜか誇らしげ。
もうちょっと可愛い顔がいいという要望は却下。（今回は髪がポイントです）

友人頂いた、旬のルバーブ、沢山！　


トーマス家では、ルバーブ・クランブルにするのが近年の好み。

オートミール、小麦粉、バターとブラウンシュガーで出来る、クイック・レシピ。　
熱々に、バニラアイスを添える。濃い目のコーヒーと、これが美味しい。
昨日、企画展最終日の忙しい朝に、なぜかキッチンに立ち作っていたのは、これでした。ある意味こういう時間は忙しさからの現実逃避。　束の間の３０分で出来るのですが。。　

I got bunch of rhubarb and baked a crumble pie. So my husband went to the store to get vanilla ice cream in the morning. It's gonna be a rhubarb gala week in this house! Thanks to Yuki!

最近のわが家の流行もの。　
旦那さま、私（自分）で絶賛です：笑

写真は良くないのですが、美味しかったのでご紹介。

今回サンクトペテルブルグを訪れたことは、大きな宝物となりました。

想像をしていた以上の、”豊かさ”でした。それは、経済だけではなく、自然の豊かさ、
芸術や文化への探求心と、それらを守る心。そして人の温かさ。　
そして歴史的建造物の保護が素晴らしい。それらは、街中心街が歴史地区として
世界遺産登録されていることにも伺えます。

書ききれないくらい、学ぶものが沢山あります。

現地のある人がお話していました。「ペテルブルグ人は皆、自分の家にギャラリーを持っているの」　
そう、この街に住む人の、芸術への愛情と誇りを感じる、素敵な言葉でした。

この旅へのご縁を頂いた、写真家・福田俊司さん、憲子さんご夫妻、ご友人のスルタンさんとご家族、
通訳のサビーナさん、そして一緒に珍道中を楽しんでくれた小森ちゃんに感謝を申し上げます。

This trip to St. Petersburg becomes a treasure for me.
There is "affluence" which I felt in St. Petersburg. It is not just about the economy, it is about natural riches, inquiring minds for arts and culture, and also a will to preserve them. I felt the warmth of the people, and I was impressed by the preservation system for historical buildings around the town. You can tell by the fact that the central town is designated as a world treasure: "the Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments"

I learned a lot of things that I want to write about.

Someone said to me, "People in St. Petersburg have their own gallery in the house."
This word shows love and respect for art in the minds of the people in St. Petersburg.
