母のギャラリー　シェイ・ケイコでは、私の大好きな陶芸家、宮田徳夫さんのスタンド展が始まりました。宮田先生の作品をこのブログで紹介するのは２回目ですね。以前の紹介は→コチラ
My mum's gallery Chez Keiko has started the Norio Miyata ceramic lampshade exhibition. This is the second time to introduce Mr.Miyata on this blog. The previous post is →Ｈｅｒｅ

毎度人気度が高くなっています。そしてこれだけの数を揃えていただくのも、シェイ・ケイコならでは。　
母が会う度にプッシュしていますから（笑）　
His lampshades are getting popular in the galleries these years. Also at Chez Keiko, where there are so many his works since my mum is pushing him every time meets him. hahaha   

実は宮田先生、制作の途中で風邪で体調を崩してしまったので、とても心配していました。そしてあの、先日益子を襲った竜巻の時も、工房で製作中でした。住居部分は大分損傷があったものの、身体は無事で・・・そして作品といえば・・・。そんな心配をよそに、感動を呼びよせる作品達でした。他に来ていたお客様に、Ａｓｕｃｏさん、作品見る目がキラキラしてるよ。。と言われてしまいました。
Actually, he caught a cold and fell sick along the way of working. We are very worried about him.  Also, there a terrible tornado hit Mashiko town the other day and he was in the studio at that time. He got serious damage in the living space, fortunately he was safe. So how were the pieces of work?.... They are amazing!

お友達のアンナちゃんも駆けつけてくれて、陶芸を勉強している彼女も圧巻でした。
そして何より、先生のお人柄。寡黙で、シャイで、目が優しくて～～・・とそのうち私のラブレターになってしまうのでここで止めておきましょ。　
My friend Anna who studies ceramic art came, too. She also likes Mr, Miyata's works.
 And what's more, he is quiet, shy, has kind eyes...it can become my love letter...I should stop..

ということで、どれだけ私が大好きな作品かということを、アンナちゃんが撮ってくれた写真を並べておきます。２０１3年６月３日まで開催です。→シェイ・ケイコ
 Anyway, this time, I introduce some pictures which Anna took. They can show how much I like his works!! The exhibition will be held until 3rd of June, 2013.

今日は母のギャラリー、シェイ・ケイコに、鹿沼在住の画家・荒井慧油絵展を様子見に行ってきました。
山の中に関わらず沢山の人。ありがたい。
Today, I went to Satoshi Arai oil paint exhibition at Chez Keiko (my mum's gallery).
There were many costumers even though it is in the country side. We are thankful.

実は荒井先生は私が小学生の頃から親しくさせてもらっている画家の先生。
いつも朗らかで、冗談と下ネタ話が好きで（笑）、お洒落でキュートな現在８２歳のおじいちゃん先生。　いつも皆に優しい人柄で、感謝の気持ちを忘れない方。　先生の情熱的なところは明るい人柄に反映されているような気がします。
いつか高校生だった私が、生意気にも先生の個展の演出方法にアドバイスした時も、沢山褒めてくれて、ニコニコ聞いてくれていた。。。今思うと、なんて大それたことを・・・と思います。
Actually I knew him since when I was an elementary school kid and we are good friends.
He is cheerful, like to tell jokes, always dresses nicely, and is a cute 82 years old guy.
Also he is kind to everyone and never forgets his feelings of gratitude towards those around him.
When I was a high school girl, I was impertinent enough to tell him my opinion about his exhibition at that time. He was listening to me with smiling and complimented me. Looking back now, I'm surprised how I could say such wild things to him.
先生の草花の絵の中でも、桜の絵は人気が高く、数年前はＮＨＫでもドキュメンタリーで紹介されています。　
He had introduced as a documentary program in a public TV show since his paint work, specially Sakura trees (cherry blossom), are so popular.

私の右側は奥さまの美代子先生も画家です。中・高生頃の私は、沢山の刺激をもらい、個性的な先生ファッションの真似をして古い着物の生地を集めては、スカートやバッグを作ったりしていました。
The lady next to me (right) is his wife Miyoko. She is also a painter. When I was a high school student girl, I got inspiration from her unique fashion, so I made many skirts, shirts, and bags myself with collected old kimono cloth.
大好きな荒井先生夫婦。　昔話に盛り上がりました。いつまでも仲良しご夫婦は憧れです。　
I love them a lot. We enjoyed chatting about old days. I want to be a nice loving couple forever like them.

ミカさんが、なんと都内渋谷にある東急デパート本店でアクセサリー展デビューです。　
ずっと応援している人だから、本当にホントに嬉しいです。　
This time!!! surprisingly! Mika has debut for accessory fair at Tokyu Department store in Shibuya Tokyo. I'm so glad since I'm one of her supporters.

だって、なかなか、そうそう出展できる場所ではありませんよ！東急本店なんですから！（笑：ｼﾂｺｲ？）
応援している人が、他の場所でも認められる事ほど、嬉しいものですよね。
Then again, it is not an easy place to have a fair. Because it is a famous and big department store in Tokyo! It is so nice to see that person who I've been supporting and is recognized by other places, too.

母と応援に行ってきました。
早速手にとっているお客様に、自分の作品を説明しているミカさん。輝いていました。
その場で買って、着けて帰る人もいました。　
そんなミカさんを見て、ずっと彼女を温めてきている母も、また喜びもひとしおの様子でした。
So I went to the fair with my mother.
She was showing to customers who are interested in her work. She has shone brilliantly.
I saw a customer got earnings and wore them out of the store. Seems like my mum also was particularly pleased watching Mika doing so well.

今日は明日から始まるシェイ・ケイコの二人展クマガイヨウコ・笠井けい子展の準備でした。　
シェイ・ケイコのお客様であれば、この二人のことはすでにご存じですね！！というくらい、根強い人気。
Today, I went to my mum's gallery to set up the next exhibition from tomorrow "Kumagai Youko and Kasai Keiko collection" at Chez Keiko. I could say that most are costumers of Chez Keiko, so they know these two artists. So they have firm favorite.

今日は朝からの冷たい雨でしたが、作品を並べ始めると、色とりどりの暖かい手織物と、笠井マジックにかかった繊細なデザインのお洋服で、賑やかで楽しい場所になりました。
さすがです。　皆で一生懸命並べるのですが、そのうち自分達で鏡で合わせ始めて、この色素敵！だとかこれイイ！とかはじまる。。　そしてすぐ休憩。　母ケイコが一番働キマセン。。。

Today was cold rain day, but when we started setting up their works, the room became a joyous and pleasant place with colorful warm homespun knits and sensitive designs by Kasai magic clothes. Just what I expected!! We started to work on setting up, but then we started to put the clothes on our self and looking at a mirror and say which is nice or good color for each other. So, start chatting then have rest soon. I think my mum doesn't work hard...

明日の初日はキューバダンスの披露１３：００～もあるそうです。
The first day of the exhibition is tomorrow, there is also Cuban dance show from 13 o'clock.

こちらは、私が去年購入したクマガイさんのニットワンピ。色も気に入っていますが、暖かいので大活躍しです。　今年もブルーの綺麗色も沢山ありました。
This is I got this knit skirt last year from Kumagai Youko. I like the color and it's nice and warm so being very useful! There are a lot of beautiful blue color knits for this year, too.

只今実家で企画展中。
雨の中、今日も沢山のお客様がいらっしゃっていただきました。ありがとうございます。　
We've been holding the exhibition in my parents' house.
We had many costumers today also even though it was raining. Thank you very much.

皆さん、真剣に見ていただけるから、私達も嬉しくてついつい昼食をとるのも忘れてしまうほど。
絨毯の歴史から、モチーフの話、世間話まで（笑）・・時間が経つのもあっという間です。
We forgot to eat lunch because the costumers were taking a serious look so we were happy to explain the history of Persian carpets, about motifs of pattern or general talk, etc. It makes the time pass quickly.

さてさて、実家に来ると、母の日めくりカレンダーがあります。実家に帰ると、今日は何が書いてあるかな・・と、楽しみにもなりました。　
今日の言葉
「生活習慣は　心が刻む ”彫刻” である」
我らは毎日、一時、一瞬の心の持ち方によって生活習慣を形成していく。
そしてその生活習慣は「点滴石を穿（うが）つ」のように人生の形を決定する。

ふむふむ。。

Well, There is my mum's page-a-day calendar in the house which has words for each day. Actually, I enjoy it when I came back the house, 'What does it tell me today?'.
The words for today
-Living habits are the sculptures carved by the mind.-
Living habits are shaved by your own mental attitude each time, each moment, every day. Then, the living habit makes the shape of the life, it is like saying "Constant dropping wears away the stone."

Hm-hum.

はい、いつまでも遊んでばかりいられません（笑）　
いよいよ明日から待ちに待っていたキリム・ペルシャ展 at シェイ・ケイコです。
今日は搬入。毎年すごい数なので気合いも入ります。
Uhhhm. It is time to work for me... haha
Finally, we are going to hold Kilim & Persian carpet exhibition at Chez Keiko. This is the event I've been waiting for. We brought in and set up today. We have to have power because there are so many carpets.

そして今年は助っ人も参上。１歳９カ月の瑛ちゃん。ちゃんと「ﾖｲｼｮ、ﾖｲｼｮ」って絨毯を運ぶのを手伝ってくれたり、掃除機だってちゃんとテーブルの下までお掃除してくれるんです。　
そして、絨毯を広げていくと、なんとその上でテンションあがり、と～～～っても楽しそうにおおはしゃぎです。さすが絨毯屋の子です。
Also, we got help this year. Ei-chan 1 year and 9 months old boy. He helped a lot for as saying oops-a-daisy with us. Although he cleans up with vacuum, even under the table.
He gets hi-tension and frolics on the carpets when we roll them out. That is the son of a carpet shop.

ママは私の古くからの大切な友人。イギリスにいた時に出逢いました。留学したばかりで、泣きべそをかいていた私に声を掛けてくれたのも彼女。
ロンドンにある、某有名アンティーク美術学院で学んだ彼女は、一緒に美術館に行っては色々教えてくれました。今は直接イランに買い付けに行き、確かな自分の目で、一枚一枚を選ぶ、最も信頼のおける絨毯屋さんになりました。
His mum is one of my good friends. I met her when I was in England. She talked with me and was kind when I was whining since I was just started to live in London for first time abroad to study.
She taught me many things when we went to museums since she was studying hard at an antique art school in a famous auction company in London at that time. Now, she goes to Iran for selecting carpets with her reliable eyes for purchasing and becomes a definitive carpets seller.だから彼女の話を聞きたくて、毎年沢山のお客様がこの企画展を楽しみにしていらっしゃてくれます。本当にありがたい。
That why many customers come and enjoy this exhibition every year for listening to her talk.

企画展は明日１４日（金曜）～１８日（火曜）まで。私は期間中、何度も絨毯をめくりますが、それが楽しみになりました。月曜以外、私も在廊です。
さてさて、今年の準備も整いました。ホットコーヒーと、暖かい絨毯を楽しみにお寄りください。
The exhibition will be held from tomorrow 14th until 18th. I will turn over carpets during the exhibition days although I enjoy doing it. I expect to be there every day except Monday.
Well, we are mostly done for preparation for the exhibition this year. Why don't you come and enjoy hot yummy coffee and warm carpets with us!!

もう数年前に買ったネックレス。ビーズというのかな。
気に入って買ったものの、なかなかする機会も少なく、引き出しにしまったままでした。これこそ箪笥？引き出しの肥し。なんだかもったいない。。
A bead necklace I got a long time ago. I like it, but don't have so many chances to wear and don't know why but had it sit in a cabinet for long time. That's a waste.

というわけで、思い切ってmi-scendo の星野美加さんにリフォームの相談してみました。　天然石と合わせて、私が好きそうに・・・等々。ようするにおまかせです。
はい、わがままな客です。
So I decided to ask to Ms. Mika Hoshino (mi-scendo) to reform. Maybe it will adjusted by her with some natural stones in a way she thinks I might like...etc. Yes, I'll just leave to her. Yes I'm that kind of customer.

ですが、私のアクセサリーは半分以上美加さんの作品をなので、好みもわかってもらえている＆彼女のセンスには安心しておまかせしてしまいます。
Although half of my accessories are her works, she knows my favorite and I like her taste so I can trust her to create one for me.

美加さんのアクセサリーは個性がありながら、品も良い。そして高価な宝石に興味のない私にはピッタリ（笑ｶｴﾅｲ？）。天然石なので、ビジネス系、カジュアル系にも使えるのでいつも鞄に１，２本入れて、行く先で付け替える時もあるくらい、よく使います。
Her accessories are individual, simple, yet elegant. Although it fits me perfect because I don't have interest to wear expensive jewelery. They (natural stone accessories) are heavy rotated items since I always carry one or two of them in my bag since can match with any type of dress like business suits or casual wear, so sometimes I switch them depending on the place.

やっぱり。　大大大満足以上です！　長さを調節して、短くする時は半分をブレスレッドにもできるそう♪　
持っている服にも合わせやすくなりました～～☆　ウレシ。やっぱりMeって女子～～☆
Taraaaaaan!! voila~~!! This is after reformed.
I knew it!! More than loooooooove it!! It is able to adjust the length so half part can be a bracelet♪　It becomes nice fit with dresses which I already have. Ummmmm　I am a girl you know☆　
　





　

実家のギャラリー　シェイ・ケイコでは２４日より「川俣　征　陶塑展」―ピエロたちのメルヘンの世界―が始まりました。
陶雛で人気の川俣さん。ピエロの制作は数年ぶり・・とのことで、どんなものになるのかが、搬入当日まで予想できない状態。楽しみでもあり、もしかしてコワイピエロ？とも・・（笑）
My mum's art gallery Chez Keiko has started the exhibition 'Isao Kawamata ceramic Pierrot exhibition - Pierrot's fairy tale world. ' from 24th of July.
Mr. Kawamata is a popular artist with ceramic Hina dolls. I was wondering how the works will be. It is unpredictable until the installation date since this time is the first time in a long while (some years). Love it? or scary Pierrot clown?...haha.

でも、さすが川俣さん、期待以上。みごとに「やられた！！」という感じです。　以前から、他の陶芸家さんより、川俣さんの技術はすごいですよ・・(簡単にできるものではない）と伺ってはいたのですが、私はデザイン性の高いところも好きなところです。
そして表情、衣装、背景・・すべてに一体一体の個性（デザインセンス）と技術的こだわりを感じます。
But!!! Only he could do that! It was more than expected. I felt ' He got it!' great!. I have heard from a pottery artist who is a friend of mine that Mr. Kawamata has great skill. (It is not simple technique he uses.) Although I like his design, too. I can see carefulness of creation and individuality (design sense) for each doll with all of their facial expressions, costumes and back scenes.

今回の本と一緒に雰囲気のあるディスプレイで・・
They are atmospheric display with books.

初日から沢山の方に来ていただきました。
皆さんのコメントも楽しい。
「あら、このピエロは若くて、まだ無邪気さが残る駆け出しのピエロね！」や、「きっとこのピエロは帽子を忘れてきちゃったおっちょこちょいだわ」等々。　その言葉に対し、またピエロがおどけた表情を返しているようでした。
There are many customer from the first day. I enjoyed their comments.
'Wao, this Pierrot is still young and must be a fledgling Pierrot! because he has an innocence. '
'May be he is a goosey Pierrot! Because he forget to have a hat! ..etc. I felt like Pierrots are smiling back to them with a droll smile.

DMのメッセージの一部に、「心を隠して人々に笑いを与える道化師ピエロ。こういう時期だからこそ、ピエロの力を借りたいものです」。。とありました。
そう、ピエロって優しいんだな。。。とふと思いました。
是非、みなさんもピエロに元気をもらいに寄ってみてくださいね。一体一体の表情や服も見比べて観てみるのも楽しいです！
A part of message on the flyer says that 'Pierrots cover their own real emotion and give laughs to the people. We'd like to have the help of Pierrot at such a time.
By chance, I thought 'Yah,,,Pierrot are kind. So please see them and have laughs and chin-up! It is fun to see and compare each of their faces and costumes.

今日は鹿沼にある母のギャラリー、シェイ・ケイコにて明日から始まる後藤　敏雄　 鞄工房510展の搬入に行ってきました。
後藤さんの作るバッグの特徴は、質の良い皮と縫製に、酒袋を使ったところです。酒袋とは、江戸時代より日本酒を造るとき、もろみをいれて搾り、柿渋につけた木綿の袋のことで、現在は使われていないそうです。いわば使い終わった古布だそうです。なので色も一つ一つ違います。
Today, I went to my mother's gallery to help prepare for Goto Toshio's bag exhibition, which starts tomorrow. The points of Goto's handmade bags are good quality leather and sewing techniques, and the use of sakabukuro fabric. Sakabukuro are persimmon tannin-colored cotton bags which were used for making sake (Japanese liquor) since Edo period. Fermentation rice broth was strored and pressed. But not used today so it is old, used textile. They are naturally colored and each has a different color.

実は私も以前祖母より、この後藤さんのバッグをプレセントしてらったのですが、一番驚いたのは、海外に行ったときに、どこに行っても褒めらたバッグでした♪　　もちろん日本でも！→
海外で「素敵なバッグね！！」言われるたびに、英語で酒袋をなんて説明しようか・・・と考えこみました（笑）。
Actually I have one of Goto's handmade bags which I got from my grandmum. I am surprised that when I visit abroad, I receive a lot of praise on the bag from many people. Of course sometimes in Japan, too. This is the bag. → Every time when I hear"I like your bag!" I had trouble explaining about sakabukuro in English. The way of becoming sakabukuro is a little bit complicated.

なので今回の企画展はとっ～～ても楽しみでした☆また、新しいデザインや形もあり、モチロン今回も期待以上！！　今回は、しな布（科(しな)の木から糸を紡ぎ、布に織り上げる伝統工芸）のバッグや、古い着物の帯で作ったものもあります。自宅の箪笥の中にしまってある使わない帯を、持ちこみでオーダーすることも可能だそうです☆　お後藤さんのバッグは、ご本人もお洒落な方なので、色合わせが絶妙。
So I was excited for the exhibition this time. Also I enjoy this far more than I expected because there are new designs and shapes. There are bags which use shina-fu (traditional textile craft made by spinning and weaving from Japanese linden tree) or made from used beautiful obi (kimono sash), so you can order to make your kimono belt which has been sitting in your closet for awhile. Goto has style so I like his color matching.

一つ一つ、丁寧に袋から出していく作業と、作家さんとのおしゃべり・・・楽しかった～♪。
何点か写真をのせてみます。さあて、今回のＭｅ一番のお気に入りはどれでしょ・・・。ウフっ。
We took out the bags from their covers and chatted with the artist...... That was fun time. I post some pictures of his work. Can you guess which is my favorite?!!? ♪
