いよいよ今年のペルシャ・キリム展がシェイ・ケイコにて始まりました。
シャディ・ベア（友人のチャコとチャコママ）が６月にイランへ飛んで、日本に持ち帰ってきたばかりです。今まで何枚もみてきましたが、同じものは１枚もありません。
だからこそ、毎年のこの時期が楽しみなのです。
Finally, The Persian carpet and Kilim exhibition has started at Chez Keiko(mum's gallery).
Shady Bear (my friend Chako and her mother) went to Iran and brought back carpets and rugs.
As far as has been hitherto observed, no two are ever the same. That is why I am so excited to have this season.
デザイン画を元に工房で作られたもの、
遊牧民によって、デザイン画はなく、代々伝わるモチーフを織り込んでいったもの・・
自分達の生活環境をそのまま絵にして表現して織ったもの。
幸せへの願いを込めてつくったものや、お祈り用、食事の時に敷く専用のもの、住居用テント用・・など様々です。
They are made by workshop based on a design drawings.
Motifs are woven without design drawings.
Woven as a picture expressing their life environment.
Woven with wishes for happiness.
Used for prayer, eating, and tent houses.
そして、この素晴らしい絨緞や織物文化がどうやって繁栄してきたのか？
この絨緞のモチーフ（デザイン）は何を表しているか・・？
何のために？
絨緞のクオリティの違いを見分けるには？
などなど、そんな話をしながら１枚１枚を見ていくのが本当に楽しい。
１枚ごとに絨緞上の世界があるのです。
Also, how such great carpet or textile cultures have built a prosperous world?
What is this motif showing?
What was it for?
How can they tell that carpet's quality differences?...etc. It is so interesting to hear and look at each carpet.
There is a story for each carpet.
そんなおとぎ話を聞いたり、また勉強にもなる話しを楽しみに、今年も初日から沢山の方が絨緞を見に来てくれました。
オープン前から待っていただいた方まで・・。
From starting day, so many customers have come and enjoyed since listening or able to learn. They were waiting before it opened.
正直５年前に始めた頃は、こんなに人気のある展示会になるとは想像もしていませんでした。
ありがたいことです。
I'm thankful. Actually, I wasn't sure that so many people would come to this exhibition when we started this 5years ago.
いらっしゃれる方は、秋の涼しい風とあぜ道も是非楽しみながら来てくださいね。美味しいコーヒーをいれてお待ちしています。私は今週９日（土）、１０日（日）に在朗です。
