一昨日からＧＷが始まりました。なんやかんやと毎日はすぎていきます。毎日パタパタとすぎてはいくものの、食べること、作ることは忘れませんよ。
We are having golden week in Japan now. I'm having busy days as well. Of course I can't forget eating and making as well even though time goes fast every day.
今日はね、コレコレ。日光唐辛子を入手しました！！！大きいでしょ。手前にあるのが一般的な鷹の爪と呼ばれる唐辛子なんですが、この日光唐辛子と呼ばれる品種は２～３倍の大きさです。
味は確かに辛いのですが、鷹の爪よりはマイルドな辛さ。
This time for posting, I got hot peppers called Nikko-hot peppers. They are big. The lower red pepper in the picture is a normal-sized red hot pepper we use commonly in Japan, the Nikko-hot pepper is 2-3 times bigger than that. The Nikko hot pepper is mild compared with the normal hot pepper. And it has fleshy thick skin more than normal one. I like it!!
今回はなんと、SHINBIの社長が有機無農薬、天日干しで丁寧に仕上げたものです。早速我が家の定番メニュー、ペペロンチーノに投入。しっかりした辛みは残しているものの、確かにマイルド。やんちゃな辛さではありませんでした。大きい分、鷹の爪よりも肉厚があるので、スパイスとして入れているのに食べ応えさえ感じます。
かな～～～りＧｏｏｏｏｏｄ！
さてさて、これで次は何作ろうかな。。
いつもは唐辛子というと、ぬか漬け、ピクルス、オリーブオイル漬けに使用します。あっ！今回は作ってみたかったラー油とタバスコにも挑戦してみようかな。その他大根の醤油とみりんで煮込むものに入れてもいいし・・・。楽しみが増えました☆
This time I got organic natural sun-dried from the president of SHINBI studio that he made himself. I made peperoncino pasta which is a staple dish in my house. The taste is mild hot, not too spicy, but still with a fine hot flavor.
So what shall I make with this. Usually I use hot peppers for vegetables pickled in (salted) rice-bran paste, pickles and pickled olive oil. This time, I will try to make hot sesame oil and tabasco, which I wanted to make. Also it is good to steam with radish and sweet soy sauce. This is going to be great!
この日光唐辛子、 ＧＷ中５月４，日（５日）に参加予定のファインフィールド・フェスティバルでも販売される予定です。レシピもつけておこうかな。 というわけで、よかったら覗きにきてね☆
大道芸からミュージックライブ、子供達と参加する野染めや映画鑑賞～アート・マーケット、フリーマーケット、アンティーク家具マーケット他、沢山のイベントが開催されます。私は悠日ギャラリーの方にいる予定です。
Anyway, these Nikko-hot peppers are going to be sold at the Fine field festival in which I am going to participate. I might make some recipe card for it. So come and check!!
The festival will be held with street performance, live music, dye work shop with children, movies, an art market, an antique furniture market and other events. I'll be at Gallery Yujitsu.
